At TOMS Bendigo, we have a passion for restoring old heritage buildings. We love breathing new life into spaces filled with history, preserving their stories while creating new ones.

We saw the need in Bendigo for more outdoor spaces to sit in the sun and fresh air and enjoy good food and drinks. So we searched for a few years until we found the perfect site.

Known by the locals as The Old Mower Shop it is a building full of history, it also had a backyard full of lawnmowers that you could see from space!

We envisaged a new life for what was originally built by Mr and Mrs Ewing for their home and ajoining butchers shop. It will take some time to bring both buildings back to new while also respecting their heritage. So while that is a work in progress we will be serving up delicious toasties, home baked muffins and custom coffees made to perfection from TOMS Van.

So who is TOM? He’s Simon, sometimes called The Old Man by his kids, and occasionally by me, his wife Tracy. And why’s it called TOMS -because the site has been known as The Old Mower Shop by Bendigo locals for many years, and because I love acronyms.
